Privacy Policy

This policy applies to LOGISTICS ADVISORY PTY LTD, 14/176 Bluestone Cct, Seventeen Mile Rocks QLD 4073. The firm was incorporated in March 2017 and is registered for GST. This site is intended for business contacts in Australia. It explains how we handle personal information that comes to us through the website, email and advisory work.

We are an independent consultancy. We practise from one Queensland office. We do not operate freight, warehousing or customs brokerage, and we do not take payment on this website. This policy should be read with our Cookie Policy and Terms of Use.

What we collect

We collect the details you choose to send when you write to info@logisticsadv.com.au or use the contact and brief pages. That typically includes:

• name, company, role and email address
• the topic of the enquiry and the message or brief
• a lane, node or network description, and an indicative spend band, if you include them

If we are later engaged, we may also hold project files you supply (for example freight invoices, contracts, lane data or warehouse information) and the correspondence needed to do the work. We do not run an account system on this website. We do not collect payment card details through this site. We do not seek tax file numbers, health information or other sensitive information as a matter of course. If you send material we do not need, we keep only what is required to reply or to perform the engagement.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you write to the office or send a brief. We may also collect it from a colleague you nominate as the owner of a file, and from project records you ask us to work with. We do not buy contact data. We do not collect personal information from a consumer marketing list.

How we use it

We use personal information to reply to enquiries, to decide whether a file is one we can take, to prepare a written scope, and to perform advisory work under that engagement. We may also use it to keep ordinary business records required by Australian law, including tax records. We do not sell contact lists. We do not buy marketing lists. We do not send marketing mail unless you have asked to hear from us.

If you ask us to stop using your details for any further contact that is not required by an engagement or by law, write to info@logisticsadv.com.au. A submitted brief is not treated as consent to a newsletter.

Who we disclose it to

We do not disclose personal information for advertising. We may share information with professional advisers (for example accountants or lawyers) where that is necessary to run the practice, with service providers who host or support our business email and records, and with a person or body if Australian law requires it. If an engagement involves a third party you have named, such as a 3PL, a freight operator or a broker, we share only what the work requires and only with your instruction. We do not publish client names on this website.

Where it is held

Email and project files are held in the business systems used by the firm at the Queensland office. We do not operate an offshore marketing platform for this website. Enquiry mail is kept for as long as it is useful to answer you and to keep a record of what was asked. Engagement files are kept for the life of the work and for a period afterwards that matches ordinary professional and tax record-keeping. When information is no longer needed we delete or de-identify it where that is practicable.

Overseas disclosure

Some business email and records providers may store a copy outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to keep the information protected. We do not sell personal information to overseas buyers. We do not transfer a client file offshore as a marketing asset.

Security and incidents

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Access to enquiry and engagement files is limited to people working on the practice. If we become aware of an eligible data breach, we will follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme to the extent it applies, including notifying you and the Commissioner where that is required.

Unsolicited information

If you send us personal information we did not ask for, we keep only what we need to reply or to refuse the file. The rest is destroyed or de-identified where that is practicable. Please do not send tax file numbers, payment card details or health records unless we have asked for them as part of a scoped engagement.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask to see or correct personal information we hold about you, or to make a privacy complaint, by writing to info@logisticsadv.com.au. We reply during Queensland business hours from Seventeen Mile Rocks. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles to the extent they apply to this practice.
